Instituto Butantan: flexibility and consulting approach helped solving VHP bio-decontamination challenges
Instituto Butantan is a Brazilian public company and one of the biggest producers of vaccines in this South American federal state. As other extremely well-established company, the customer may rely on the support of specialised partners to solve efficiently and effectively specific need.
The need:
To bio-decontaminate the departments dedicated to the development of flu vaccines, Instituto Butantan worked for years with a local service provider to perform V-PHP (i.e. vaporised hydrogen peroxide) bio-decontamination service operations twice a year.
The challenge:
Due to production plants expansion, the services request increased and, consequently, the associated costs. Instituto Butantan looked for an alternative solution offering more flexibility and less adaptation to the external supplier availability.
The solution:
Amira, supported by its Brazilian distributor Partitec, proposed Bioreset® generators for the bio-decontamination with V-PHP technology. The consulting approach helped to identify the solution that fully met the client’s URS (User Requirements Specification) for the development of the bio-decontamination cycles related to the specific production facilities.
